About the Role

Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller works within the Finance Department to ensure the financial health of the Group’s various companies. The Financial Controller also reports to the CEO of the companies they supervise.  

Main Responsibilities / tasks

  • Monitor the accounting and financial management of the Group’s subsidiaries:
    • Establishment of budgets and analysis of deviations
    • Analysis of accounts, margins, and profitability
    • Inventory management
    • Monitoring, analysis, and management of financial needs (cash pooling, cash planning, etc.)
    • Banking relations: credit lines, letters of credit, guarantees, hedging, etc.
    • Support for audits
    • Credit management
    • Reporting to management teams
    • Consolidated accounts
  • Assist in the administrative, legal, and HR management of the Group’s subsidiaries:
    • Contact with various public authorities
    • Grants and public subsidies
    • Contact with social secretariats
    • Preparation of NBB accounts and management reports
    • Preparation of board meetings
    • Preparation of general assemblies
    • Assistance with the implementation of CSRD reporting
  • Use and develop management tools in place:
    • ERP (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset)
    • Business Intelligence
    • Accounting software
    • CRM
  • Coordinate stock management and inventories
  • Assist in consolidating the accounts of different companies within the Group
  • Regularly provide support for special projects, as needed

Who we are looking for

  • Sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, financial instruments, and debt instruments
  • Knowledge of banking relationships and covenants
  • Ability to work autonomously and be part of the broader team
  • Appropriate handling of sensitive information
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong client relationship management and customer service skills
  • Team player with the ability to communicate and coordinate with multiple parties
