Proud to contribute to Australia’s rebuilding
What happened in Australia?
From September to February, bushfires in Australia have caused dozens of deaths, destroyed hundreds of homes, and razed forests and farmlands to the ground. It was Australia’s worst bushfire season ever recorded.
We decided to act with WIRES (Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service Inc.), an Australian wildlife rescue organization.
WIRES has been rescuing and caring for wildlife for over 30 years and its mission is not only to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife but also to inspire others to do the same.
The CE+T Group launched in January 2020 an action to invite employees to contribute to this cause by making donations. The Group then offered to give the same amount as the one collected by the employees.
We have received news from Wires: our sponsorship has helped them developing major projects to rebuild Australian wildlife after the bushfires such as:
- Threatened species programs
- Wildlife care facilities and habitat protection
- Funding for animal rescue and care needs
This a noble contribution but, at CE+T, we are all convinced that it is by acting that we can make a difference and initiate change. We also believe that these changes will benefit both our planet and the future generations.
